ABOUT
Midnight for the Masses History
Midnight for the Masses is a Hard rock band from North Mississippi which was formed in the Summer of 2017. Kris Beavers (drums) & Troy Hill (vocals/guitar) ran across one another in a local venue and discussed their desire to form a new band. Not long after BJ Russell(guitar), Ethan Schexnayder (guitar) and Jon Bell (bass) joined in. While the initial plan was to work on originals they found themselves quickly being asked to perform live shows so the first several months were spent working up covers but the writing picked up in late 2017.
The band has played sparingly while concentrating on writing and recording but has continued to open for bands such as Framing the Red, Hypersona, EMN (Every Mother's Nightmare), Bobaflex, and Saving Abel.
In September 2018, guitarist BJ Russell left to re-form his former band, Allyria. BJ was succeeded by current lead guitarist, Derek Blush from Jackson, MS. Shortly after, the band began work on their debut album with Justin Rimer at CrossTrax Studio in Memphis, TN. The EP album is expected to be released in late summer 2019.
